After trying every other, preceeding workaround, this one finally worked, except I needed to reboot between each installation step. Thx to everyone who attempted to help.

Install the C++ Pack linked below before running SetPoint 4.8 installer. If you're on a 64-bit OS you'll need to run the 32-bit before running the 64-bit, than setpoint 4.8.

Does the certification apply to Win7 64 Bit as well? If so, I don't know how if when installing the software creates the same problems I experienced with V4.60 under WindowsXP? What 4.80 did was to lock my system up when the system went into sleep mode and could not wake it up with either the KB or mouse or by plugging a wired mouse and keyboard (the USB were made inoperative). The only option was to power down which corrupted Win7 requiring complete re-install. Went through this cycle twice before it dawned on me that it was happening after re-install of SetPoint. After removing SetPoint including the LogiShrd folder that is created in Common Files but not removed with uninstall my system is now fully operational except the Dimension MX5000 kb/mouse. It works in HID mode but of course needs the software to be able to use the Logitech features.

Hi,
Why did the SetPoint 4.80 show "VC8 library is not installed correctly"? My OS is Window 7, 64-bit.
Do you have any updated version of the software?

Regards.
Do I want to know for that I cannot activate all the buttons of my Mouse in Windows 7 64bit and in Windows XP if all the buttons are activated and all the parameters of adjustments work well?
I always buy Logytech it is my preferred brand(mark) and I want that it(he,she) has support for all the SO's platforms.
They try to deliver a Software with so many good characteristics, only in order that installs the driver in order that it works only in Windows 7 32 and 64 bit ...!
And the rest of the functions that the devil takes....? ![]()

When I go to the page and hit the download button, which only shows half of it, it goes to a screen that is blank. What's up or any help would be great.....![]()

I don't WANT 6.0 after installing it. It had TOO many problems on my MX 5500 Revolution combo. I had the Beta and it too had some problems, but I could live with it 'hoping' the release would FIX it... it made it WORSE...
How can I get 4.8?

Hi I recently reinstalled Windows 7 and downloaded and installed SetPoint 6.0 for my MX1000. Everything works great except when I try to assign Alt-Space to what was originally the "Cruise Down" button. For some reason the program won't let me use Alt-Space and it reverts to just Space after I try typing it in.
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!
