Re: Windows 7 x64 and Orbit MP not working well.

Thanks, I got this today and it works great.  Provides the driver so I can use MSN Messenger live without any problems.

Re: Windows 7 x64 and Orbit MP not working well.

Am I going to buy another Logitech Camera with this type of non-support???   NO.   What Logitech is telling us is this:

Thanking you for giving us your money.

Re: Windows 7 x64 and Orbit MP not working well.

Sorry for replying to an aging thread... but I need some further info on this!

I can't find 1051_x64 on logitech's website... looks like they've updated everything... and the instructions don't seem to work with the new drivers. Can anyone please confirm whether these instructions work with the current drivers, or post the location where I can obtain the 1051_x64 drivers quoted in Jaskconke1t's post.

Thanks.

Re: Windows 7 x64 and Orbit MP not working well.

Answered my own question. For others facing the same problem, you need to search Google for the full file name... "qc1051enu_x64.exe". Should be a few download locations for it!

Thanks.

Re: Windows 7 x64 and Orbit MP not working well.

I have a few of the Orbit Cameras and also I have family members that use these to chat, I am suprised that Logitech would not support their product, I have used and recommended Logitech products in my forture 500 company I work for, family and friends.

This will for sure deter me of all Logitech products if I am not able to resolve this issue.

I downloaded the file name you provided and get a message the product is not supported in this version of Windows.;

also its not a extractable file its a exe file.

OS installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

please help.

Thanky ou

Manish

Re: Windows 7 x64 and Orbit MP not working well.

As previously written you take that driver unzip usin winrar free, and use the installer buried. Again here is the Youtuve video on how to do this by Jacksonke 1t:

Re: Windows 7 x64 and Orbit MP not working well.

Never done this before, but joined just to express my fury at ILLogitech.

$200 for 18 months use. Now not only do they refuse support for w7, but they disable a workaround found by users, **bleep**!!!

NEVER AGAIN.

Re: Windows 7 x64 and Orbit MP not working well.

I'm in agreement with so many other users here.  I can't believe that we paid so much money for this product and Logitech is telling us to just go pound sand.  They COULD fix the installer and make it work.  They COULD give us the full pan tilt zoom function that we PAID EXTRA for.  They COULD easily have done this long ago and made all of us very happy.  Obviously they don't care about their customers.  I'll never buy another Logitech product again.  I've never been happy with their keyboards or mice, but their cameras had always worked well for me.  Now I have to scratch them off my list too.

Great job!  One less customer!  And I'm in the IT field, so all of my friends and family come to me for advice.  You can bet that I'll be sure to tell them about how poorly Logitech treats the customer.  Good luck with your business model, because I don't think you'll last very long with the current attitude and tactics.
