"I went to Device Manager where I could see my unknown device,
right-clicked update driver and navigated to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Logitech\QuickCamWebInstall\Drivers\x64 ... where the driver installation had unpacked.
Clicked ok and it successfully installed.
Opened Skype and tested.
Seems to be ok.
Hope that helps anyone having problems.
