Hi,
I have this arcane device and have lost the user manual, so can't rtfm. When I insert and remove it, Windows beeps at me. I have installed the UPnP User Interface and my linksys router shows up there, but the Logitech device never does. It MAY be broken, but I would hate to go out and buy another Windows Music System device, only to find that it's not recognized either, and that it's an operating system/compatibility issue. The behavior is the same on another Windows XP SP2 computer. Since the computer doesn't appear to see it, neither does Rhapsody and so nothing is working.
Thanks.

It could be because your query is somewhat unclear.
What system have you got, are you using WDJ or the older Wireless Music System.
Have you tried downloading the appropriate User Manual off the Logitech website?
What version of Streampoint are you using?
What is the UPnP User Interface?
"Since the computer doesn't appear to see it, neither does Rhapsody and so nothing is working." Please explain.....

There is not product name on the device. I have since been led to believe it is WDJ.

If you can point me there, I'll do it. All forum stuff I've seen says there is no such a thing.

I have no Streampoint
What is the UPnP User Interface?
Windows XP component that lets you see UPnP devices in "My Network Places".
"Since the computer doesn't appear to see it, neither does Rhapsody and so nothing is working." Please explain.....
Rhapsody does not send music to the WDJ receiver.

Okay,
If it is a WDJ then it runs using Streampoint, which can be downloaded from this site. If you go to the 'software forum' the link is at the top of the list. The Support/Downloads link is also at the top of the page. Alternatively, you can find most of what you need at this link:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/439/216&cl=gb,en ?osid=1&file=
A quick Google search found the link to the manual here:
Link
In terms of sending music to the receiver, WDJ is best using I-Tunes or Windows Media Player.
All of the above should get you up and running. Be aware that you also need to download and install Net Framework 2.0 before running Streampoint. This can also be downloaded and installed from the above links.
