How to get the Wireless DJ to install properly

I have installed the wireless DJ system, have blue LEDs on transmitter and receiver, have a "OK" signal to the remote.  I can't get to the Home screen of the remote. All I see is the picture of the remote and the OK signal.  I have tried multiple USB ports, the receiver is plugged into my AC connection on the back of the amplifier..  Gone thru all the Remote Diagnostics, brought up the StreamPoint software via the icon in the task tray.  You name it, I've done it.  Going thru the diagnotics show the receiver is ok but the Remote is Not Connected.  Don't understand how this can be when I have Blue LEDs on both trnasmitter and receiver as well as the OK displaying within the remote screen.

Now I noticed the LEDs on both the receiver and transmitter are RED so it appears to not been holding a signal.  The PC is below my desk and the transmitter is on top of the desk as far from the PC as possible.  The amplifier receiver is approsimately 75' from the PC down stairs so its within the specified distance.  I have done a sound test and it was successful.

So, how some I can successfully run a sound test but not  be able to get the remote working.  How come the LEDs go red after a period of time.

What's wrong.  Any instight would be greatly appreciated.  This installation isn't complicated yet troubleshooting seems to be the issue but with only 3 components it sholuldn't be this difficult.

thank you

Re: How to get the Wireless DJ to install properly

I had all kinds of weird stuff and then read about needing to shut down the firewall and virus software (McAfee). That did the trick. I uninstalled everything and started from scratch with these software packages turned off. Working great now.

Re: How to get the Wireless DJ to install properly

Regarding the red light on the transmitter, it is normal for it to go to blue from red when there is a certain period of inactivity. If you use the remote to call up a menu item, the connection will be restored (blue).

Just another fyi for anyone that may be having issues with installation, I had strange connectivity issues until I uninstalled the Total Recorder program I had. It has its own sound driver that was interfering with Logitechs. After I uninstalled, all is well with the Wireless DJ. The only issue Logitech should work on is making it simpler to switch from listening on your pc to listening remotely.
