Investigating Low Output from Receiver

The development team has been able to replicate the Low Audio Output issue. (It doesn't seem to happen very often, but for those it effects, it is very annoying)

As soon as I know when an update / fix is available, I will communicate that.

Re: Investigating Low Output from Receiver

Hi, does that mean it will be cured with a firmware/software up-date? Thanks. Michael.

Re: Investigating Low Output from Receiver

There is a software fix that we believe will correct this problem (which it appears is related to the default volume level of the WMP object created by StreamPoint before playing). It didn't quite make it into the beta 2 release, but should be in the final release of version 1.1 (available in a couple of weeks).

Re: Investigating Low Output from Receiver

The team is still trying to work on this, but needs input from people who are still having the problem (they cannot replicate it in-house).

Re: Investigating Low Output from Receiver

Re: Investigating Low Output from Receiver

Jerry

I have corresponded with the tech team on this issue. There are serious doubts as to whether the 'low volume output' is a real issue. Many people are loath to set the volume levels of a device to their max but in the case of the DJ this is a requirement as there is no additional amplification from the device itself. You should set the DJ volume to max and use your home cinema volume control as the master. I don't however I prefer to set the reciever volume high and conrol from the DJ this doesn't affect my other audio inputs as I can have a seperate volume setting for each, TV, Radio, DVD etc.

However your issue does not sound like a DJ issue - more like the setup of your sound system. test it with radio or tv or dvd or CD to see if the problem is replicated. I have the volume level on my rear speakers set higher than the others anyway. So set your volume levels on your system and then see if this affects the DJ.
