The new Squeezebox Duet looks like a great product, but it could be better if it had a USB port, thereby eliminating the need for a computer. External hard drives are very common (and cheap), so being able to plug one into the Squeezebox would be very convenient.

Great unit but the receiver needs a switched power outlet and or a 12-30v output signal to control other equipment. I have a power management system which would use either. Then I could turn on and off me entire system from the Duet controller.

Please make a second gen receiver with this capability.
