The Remote just died.

My remote all suddenly just died and it comes a clicking sound from the battery. I have measured the battery and it´s shows 4.13 volt - but I cannot even turn the remote on. Any ideas??

Mine did too! Set up a playlist, set it down on the arm of a chair, never dropped it. Had been working fine for two hours or so. I am not sure about a clicking sound, but the battery reads 3.7V. Will not turn on at all, not in the cradle or anything. Help Please!!!

After almost two weeks back and forth emailing Logitech Tech support, they have declared my remote DEAD! Got them all the information so they can RMA the remote, then ***** ****** with Logitech Technical Support has informed me that "Logitech do not provide warranty coverage for any Logitech product purchased from eBay as eBay is not an authorize reseller of Logitech.". I replied that no where in the warranty declaration does it specify that purchases must be made through authorized dealers to be eligable for warranty support, in fact it states "Warranty claims that cannot be processed through the point of purchase and any other product related questions should be addressed directly to Logitech.". I have asked to speak with a manager or higher-up and have not heard back at all

Very dissapointed

Re: The Remote just died.

Hi,

My handset's packed up too.

Been on to Logitech (telephone support) and they've offered to replace my entire system with a Squeezebox Classic (as the WDJ is no longer made - surprise, surprise?). Whilst this sounds great, the 'Classic' does not have a screen on the handset, it's located on the docking station/charger (usually next to your hi-fi)???

I'm now arguing my case as I want a system with a screen on the handset as that's why the WDJ was originally chosen.

Get on to them and fight your case. Don't be 'palmed' off with a lousy excuse. You paid good money, you want a good product.

My battle has just started and I am not prepared to give up.

I own lots of Logitech products and to say I'm disappointed with the WDJ is an understatement.
