cannot get transmitter connection

The setup wizard says there is no connection with the transmitter. It also tells there is no connection with the remote control. The only thing that is connected is the receiver. And what is strange is the fact that I can play music (and the test sound in the setup wizard) from the PC to my hi-fi system. The LED of the transmitter and receiver are blue. My remote control keeps on giving the "OK" indication on the screen but no library (or anything else bedsides "OK") is appearing on the screen. So I think the major problem is the transmitter connection... Does anyone now how I can connect the transmitter again??  ...thanks

Re: cannot get transmitter connection

Hmm ... this sounds like a USB-related issue. Have you tried connecting to different USB ports? A powered hub? Are there other USB devices on your system that may be conflicting? If so, have you tried removing them (temporarily) to see if things get better?

Re: cannot get transmitter connection

I managed to get everything connected a few times but as many times I cannot get the handset connected. Not even by holding the "home" and "mute" button for 5 seconds.   It's not very user friendly if one time out of two the handset doesn't connect (does anyone else have this problem?).  What should I do (besides pushing those two buttons) to get the handset connected again ?

Please verify the version of StreamPoint you're running.

Then try running 'Logitech -> StreamPoint -> Setup Wizard' and describe exactly what you're seeing, both on the device and in the software. (btw, holding the Home and Mute buttons down should not be required).

Re: cannot get transmitter connection

This is what I see when I run the setup wizard :

1 : the setup wizard tells the transmitter is not connected (despite the LED being blue)
2 : the setup wizard tells the handset is not connected (the OK sign in the dotted circle appears on the handset screen, but no menu appears)
3 : the setup wizard tells the receiver is connected !
4 : playing the testsound does work

but the handset is still not connected...

Who should I get it connected again?

NB : is it possible that a firewall or Norton could cause connection problems?

The fact that #1 is happening - the PC is not detecting the USB Transmitter - indicates a USB device / driver problem with your PC.

Re: cannot get transmitter connection

I'm having this same exact problem.
This just started happening. Everything was OK a few weeks ago.
I went to use it today and it will not connect the music transmitter.

Everything else is on blue lights all the way around

Re: cannot get transmitter connection

The blue lights mean that the transmitter and receiver are communicating with each other. But if your PC isn't connecting with the transmitter/remote (via USB) the system won't work.

Re: cannot get transmitter connection

I removed my USB hub through the Hardware Manager then reinstalled it and it started working.
And then it stopped again shortly after that.
Must be something with the USB drivers or Hub I'm thinking.

Re: cannot get transmitter connection

Have you guys tried updating your USB drivers and BIOS? You must also ensure that its connected directly to your system not through a third party hub or pass through device. Let me know if you still encounter similar issues after updating your USB drivers.
