It's not very user friendly if one time out of two the handset doesn't connect (does anyone else have this problem?). What should I do (besides pushing those two buttons) to get the handset connected again ?
Please verify the version of StreamPoint you're running.
Then try running 'Logitech -> StreamPoint -> Setup Wizard' and describe exactly what you're seeing, both on the device and in the software. (btw, holding the Home and Mute buttons down should not be required).

The fact that #1 is happening - the PC is not detecting the USB Transmitter - indicates a USB device / driver problem with your PC.
