I have been using the DJ software together with my iTunes 7 library of lossless files without a problem for months.
I recently had to do a System Restore and now only Windows Media Player is recognised. I have tried reinstalling all the relevant software as well as rebuilding my iTunes library but to no avail.
iTunes plays fine on my PC as normal.
What else can I check?

Very curious - does StreamPoint realize iTunes is even installed, or is it acting like it isn't there?

When I reinstalled the Logitech software it 'stated' that iTunes was not installed.
I have since gotten the DJ software to see my songs by pointing it to the iTunes folder. The remote now says that I have 1 album with 7,000 songs in it! If I try to play them it then attempts to use WMP which obviously does not work.

Something is seriously messed up, and I suspect your System Restore as the source of the problem.
At this point all I can suggest is to systematically uninstall and reinstall each of the key components - StreamPoint, then iTunes.

I had the same issue, which I posted in the Streampoint forum at:
http://forums.logitech.com/logitech/board/message? board.id=WMS_Software&message.id=672
The updated streampoint software didn't recognize that I had the latest version of iTunes. Indeed, it didn't even recognize that I have iTunes installed. AND i NEVER DID A SYSTEM RESTORE.
However, I uninstalled iTunes and Streampoint, and reinstalled them, and Streampoint 1.5 then recognized both my iTunes and Windows Media Player, so BillR's advice did accomplish a "fix" here. Thanks Bill.
