I haven't tried it, but know that Server 2003 isn't officially supported (and testing, if any, was minimal).

SOLUTION / WORKAROUND FOR WIN 2003
-----------------------------------
I bought this mouse and was completely disapppointed with Logitech for being shortsighted enough to not support slightly less popular and older versions of Windows - for their setpoint software. I was ready to return the product and buy a kensington or microsoft product until I found a solution (for Windows 2003).
Caveat: Unfortunately this config is not gonna be supported ny Logitech, but things are working fine for me wtih the VX Revolution model on Win 2003 server.
*** SOLUTION from site: http://www.aplus.co.yu/windows/how-to-install-logi tech-mx900-drivers-on-windows-2003/
Luckily, there’s a workaround. Right click on setup file (setup222enu.exe here), Properties, Compatibility tab, check “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” and choose “Windows XP”. Ok all. Then start the file, ignore the message about administrator rights (I am installing as administrator, you…) and finish the install. Restart, all is well, drivers installed.
Next, I need to find out if this mouse has Linux drivers...
By the way this mouse is generally a work of art! Hats off to Logitech - incredible attention was paid to the finest details in this product, right down to being able to stash the usb wireless adapter into the mouse for travel purposes. I do have a few wish list items.. I'll post those separately.
