Re: Cannot skip tracks forwards or back using receiver or remote

I have the opposite problem to everyone in this thread -- I can skip tracks forward and backward, but it skips two or more tracks each time I press the button on the remote.  Running XP PRO with WMP11. Was using it without the Logitech software loaded. Thought it might help to load the software, but no difference.

Other than this, works like a charm.

Re: Cannot skip tracks forwards or back using receiver or remote

I have the same problem as everyone else here.  Bottom 3 buttons on remote work fine.  Top 4 buttons do not work at all.

Everything else works fine.  I have not installed the software.

Have tried WMP 10 and ITunes 6.  Both of these respond to keyboard commands, they just don't work with the top 4 remote buttons.

Re: Cannot skip tracks forwards or back using receiver or remote

SOLVED FOR ME!  -- Try flipping the Variable/Fixed switch on the receiver to Fixed.  This works for me.  I loose the volume control on the Logitech remote, but I don't need this, since I have a stereo receiver remote for that.

The mute, and all track controls now work correctly.

Hi GH,

I read your post and thought "It can be that simple, I must have tried that" so i flicked the switch and re booted the device....no joy, I just loose the volume contol (and yes the Microsoft Media Player was the active window).

The remote will control the volume and when I press the pause/play button the device tries to do something but it does not pause, just a blip in the music

The mute button has always worked for me, it is the skip tracks that is the problem

Regards

John

I'll try Windows Media Player later today.  I've only tried iTunes so far, and that works.

Re: Cannot skip tracks forwards or back using receiver or remote

Windows Media Player 10 works fine.  Also, strangely, after updating to iTunes 7, I could not get any music to go to the stereo speakers.  I got the blue light connection just fine.  but, music would only play out of the PC speakers.

Then, I went ahead and installed the Music Anywhere software. That fixed the problem.

I can now toggle between PC speakers and stereo while the tranmitter is connected and on.

Hopefully, you can fix your problem also.

The music stream to the stereo has an occasional hiccup, but nothing too serious.

Re: Cannot skip tracks forwards or back using receiver or remote

I have come to the conclusion that there must be a confilct somewhere on my machince, but I cant track it down. Perhaps when I upgrade the PC (sometime in the next year or two) the problem will go away...

Hi all, I have exactly the same problem here, has anyone managed to resolve this issue or at least find out the cause yet, it's been driving me mad for quite some time. Many Thanks, Ted
