Combining the wireless music system for PC with the wireless music system for IPOD

I have a wireless music system (WMS) for PC (1 WMS receiver, 1 WMS USB/PC transmitter, music anywhere software) and I also have a WMS for IPOD (1 WMS receiver, 1 WMS ipod/headphonejack transmitter). I would like to connect my WMS-ipod transmitter to the WMS-pc reciever I have in my living room. The WMS-ipod and WMS-pc receivers are identical in the way they look, and I checked the model numbers-- they are identical. So I should be able to connect my WMS-ipod transmitter to the WMS-pc receiver. But I can't. I get the impression that my WMS-pc receiver is paired with my WMS-pc transmitter. I think I need to unpair it before I can re-pair it with my WMS-ipod transmitter. How do I do this? Am I correct that it is possible to do? Thanks (I will repost this message in the forum for the WMS-pc)

Re: Combining the wireless music system for PC with the wireless music system for IPOD

I figured this issue out after doing a search for 'pairing' on the logitech forum database. The receivers for the PC and IPOD are the same; they are universal. Each of the Logitech wireless music devices has a 'pairing' mode (although I think the PC transmitter uses software to do it). To pair using the PC: Use the software and add a new device to pair with. If it asks for a password I think it is 0000. If it is a new device it should pop up a windows saying that you need to go push the connect button on your receiver for 10 seconds, until the light alternately flashes blue and red. If look at your PC transmitter while this window is up, the transmitter light should also be flashing alternately blue and red. The blue/red flashing is Pairing Mode. To Pair using the ipod: Push and hold the Ipod connect button. It should go through a series of different lights-- first red flashing, then off, then blue/red flashing. Once it is blue/red flashing, the IPOD transmitter is in Pairing mode. You need to quickly go over to your Receiver, and hold the connect button down until it is alternately flashing blue/red. It should then connect both ends and switch to solid blue within about 5 seconds. :smileyhappy: I have found that once this pairing process has taken place, the transmitters and receivers remember it. Henceforth they only need to push the connect button (the red flashing mode is connect mode) to connect (as it should be). I'm pretty happy that these devices work this well. Even though I struggled to get them up and running, now that they are running, it is all easy and compatible. Thank you logitech.
