Something is wrong with the receiver. The two of them connect but when I plug it into something and push it all the way, the sound comes out like its not plugged in all the way....making the audio either quiet or distorted. What do I do?? Are these headphones under warranty still?

Usually I plug them into my ipod video. But anything I plug them into and they have the same problem. It's never done this before. I even tried the extension thing it came with but some problem
