Re: How to install Logitech Wireless DJ on Windows 7

:smileysad:

I can get it connected and the system recognises it, but music only play via the HIFI for about 4 seconds and then continues via the default speakers(High Definition Audio Device).

If I make the Logitech USB Music Transmitter the default device (no the ideal situation) then it works

Any Suggestions?

Re: How to install Logitech Wireless DJ on Windows 7

I am also having problems with windows 7. I have tried compatibility mode both Vista and XP but there seems to be a conflict Like the other person if I make streampoint the default then it will play to my hifi but I do have to keep switching defaults depending on whether I`m wanting sound through the PC or HIFI

Has anyone any suggestions

Hi,

The Wireless DJ is End of Life. There will be no software updates.

You could try using compatability  mode.

Re: How to install Logitech Wireless DJ on Windows 7

[ Edited ]

I could install Streampoint with compatibility mode und it runs.

But I can't switch between rooms or to the PC Mode.

Anyone with this problem and a solution?

Some annotations:

Sad to see a worldwide player on the PC market not able to support a product for more then 2 years ;-(

And: the streampoint software and the setpoint software, same from logitech, don't works together at Windows 7 :-(

Now I own a microsoft mouse....

Re: How to install Logitech Wireless DJ on Windows 7

I followed the steps of nicotin and that succeeded in a running application in Vista Compatibility Mode (no SP's). The only way I could get consistent sound in my room (i.e. more than 4 seconds) was with Streaming all Sounds while playing music with a player on my PC. The remote control is useless in that mode, but it is better than nothing.

It is a shame that Logitech does not support this software anymore!

Oh, almost forgot: Maybe it runs in XP Mode in Windows 7 i.e. a Virtual Windows XP. I did not try this maybe someone else?

Re: How to install Logitech Wireless DJ on Windows 7

Thanks for this post, it is almost going to work. I followed your steps but the remote won't sync up with my wireless device. The test sound works it really is the USB connection to this receiver that is the issue.

I have edited a few items from this step that almost completes this.

  • Download the driver (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/439/216&cl=us,en?softwareid=687&osid=13) Don't forget to select 64bits version, depends of your Windows.
  • Right click on the setup file and select "Properties", go to "Compatibility" tab, click on "Modify for all users".
  • Check the "Run this software in compatibility mode as :" box and select "Windows XP (SP3)".
  • At the bottom, check the "Run this software as administrator" box. Click on "Ok".
  • Run the setup file, follow the step and restart.
  • While it restart, connect your hardware Wireless DJ System to your stereo and your PC.
  • Start the remote controller.
  • After reboot, click on "Start" and write "%temp%" in the search box.
  • On the new windows, look for "Logitech StreamPoint 1.5" and go on. the file is isB18.EXE
  • Right click on "Setup" application file, select "Properties", go to "Compatibility" tab and click on "Modify for all users".
  • Check the "Run this software in compatibility mode as :" box and select "Windows Vista (No S/P)".
  • At the bottom, check the "Run this software as administrator" box. Click on "Ok".
  • Run the "Setup" application file and follow the step.

One other method I tried is right clicking on the program and go through the compatibility issues. When I said it worked with a previous software package but I hope some smart person can get the receiver to connect with the port and not have the compatibility issues.
