Hey Guys,
So I bought my DJ about 3 weeks ago. Have been running on XP with no issues.
XP started getting lazy on me and I knew it was time to upgrade. So I printed out Cosmo's Vista remediation tutorials @
http://forums.logitech.com/logitech/board/message? board.id=WMS_General&thread.id=1405
and was expecting the worst!!
To my surprise, Vista install went great. Logitech Streampoint loaded on startup just fine. Remote recognized and everything. Only thing I had to fix in Control Panel: Sounds was the default output to my desktop speakers instead of the Logitech USB transmitter. Once done, my desktop played Media Player fine and when I connected th DJ in my bedroom that worked fine too!! Couple of reboots and all fine!!
Some details:
- Streampoint was installed BEFORE the upgrade from XP to Vista
- Vista install was 32 bit Ultimate version
Hope this helps some people bailing on this product because of Vista support. Between my approach and Cosmo's technique there is no reason you shouldn't buy and enjoy this product! I plan on buying more handsets now!!!
