Purchased a SBTouch today and would like to get a drive setup for when it arrives. It will be attached directly to the Touch. I haven't had any luck here or reading through online manuals to find the supported file systems. Have a HFS+ drive I'd like to use, but wondering if I need to convert it to FAT32 (or even NTFS), before I start dumping tracks on it?
Also if I read the multiple lines of specs on the SBTouch correctly, ALAC is now a native supported file type (so not requiring transcoding and thus Server runner on a separate machine). Can someone confirm to save me the time of converting to FLAC?
Thanks.

I know it supports FAT32, NTFS, EXT2, EXT3. If you can, wait until it arrives and see if it reads the HFS+ drive as well as the ALAC.
IIRC, you are OK with the ALAC.
But I prefer FLAC and I think it even takes up less drive space then Apple.
