I just installed the Wireless DJ system, and I can't get more than 95% through one song before the CPU on my computer maxes out, entirely due to the Streampoint.exe process.
Here's what I'm running:
- iTunes 7.0.0.70
- 6071 songs, 29 playlists, in case that matters
- WinXP Home
- P4 1.6 Ghz
- 512 MB RAM
Everything works fine for a couple of minutes, then near the end of the first song (not sure if this is coincidence that it keeps happening near the end of a song, or if it just croaks after about 2.5 minutes), SteamPoint maxes out my CPU, my computer slows to a crawl, and the music stops.
Help!

I have an update to my previous post. I determined that the problem coincided with the end of a song as opposed to with any specific length of time. I changed the update for both iTunes and File Folders from Automatic to Manual. That managed to keep things from completely locking up at the end of a song, but now it's taking between 15-20 seconds to transition from the end of one track to the beginning of the next.
A 15-20 second delay between tracks is completely unacceptable. Please help.

The QA team is looking into this issue (which is new, and seems to be specific to iTunes 7).
Are you running any other applications while streaming? (While 512MB is enough RAM, a 1.6 GHz P4 might be a bit underpowered, especially if you're running other apps at the same time).

I have the same crashing issue too. I have a p4 3.2Ghz w/ 180 GB HD and 1.5GB RAM so my hardware is not the issue. Also rnning iTunes version 7.0. In my tests I do not run any programs along with the StreamPoint software. This is just REALLY buggy software with craptastic support. It's goin back to where I purchased it. I have had the thing for about 6 days. Too bad. Maybe whenthey get the bugs out this will be a decent wireless music option.

I'm not running any other applications in the foreground when I encounter the problems (AVG virus protection and a few other things are active in the sys tray, but they didn't appear to be utilizing very many resources).
Hopefully this is just a bug with iTunes 7 compatibility that can be fixed. The Wireless DJ has great potential and I'd like to get it to work.

Mine works great with WMP. It seems many people prefer iTune, is there any advantage of it besides working with iPod? "better" sound quality than WMP?
(well, I got only mp3s from CD and it really does not matter iTune or WMP or others, as long as it plays the song.)
So, sound quality wise, is there any difference?

There shouldn't be any measurable difference, unless you're using the iTunes 'Sound Enhancer' and/or 'Sound Check' functions for playback.
