Squeezebox Boom with color LCD display?

Hello, I'm new to the forum, so forgive me if this has been asked (I searched and didn't find it).  Has Logitech hinted at a Squeezebox Boom with a color LCD display like the SB Radio?

Re: Squeezebox Boom with color LCD display?

That isn't an equivalent since you need external speakers!

Is logitech going to create a colour screen Squeezebox Boom?

Re: Squeezebox Boom with color LCD display?

logitech never (rarely?) discusses new products before official announcements are made. By the way, the touch is not the same as a boom with color screen. The touch has no built in amp/speakers. The boom of course does. Just guessing, it is highly likely  that there will be something like the boom with color screen like the touch. The Radio is the closest thing to this at the moment.

Re: Squeezebox Boom with color LCD display?

As Garymc said, Logitech never discusses future products. Though one might logically think that a Boom II is in the distant future as soon as the VFD displays are all gone. The Touch is the direct yet updated replacement for the SB3 in part due to the EOL of the display. So one would think that the Boom would get a color LCD display when they run out of the current Boom display (and maybe some updated smarts if there is room).

I would not hold off the purchase just because of the display and if it has to be color check out the SB Radio.
