Hello,
I've noticed that my SBR screen brightness no longer temporarily increases when I touch a button. When I first bought the unit (with firmware 7.42) it would auto-dim in a dark room so that I could sleep, but temporarily light up when I touched a control - exactly the behavior one would want. Since 7.5.0, it no longer lights back up. I have to choose the lesser evil of setting the screen too bright to sleep, or too dim to operate in the dark.
Any developers here who can comment? I was referred here from the slimdevices forum in hopes that I might get direct feedback from a Logitech employee.
Thanks,
Randy

I've noticed that the auto-dim/bright works (again?) with 7.5.1, have you tried with the updated firmware ?

remd: I have upgraded to 7.5.1, and have not seen a difference.
Just to be clear - the auto-dimming works fine, it's the temporary brightening when operating the unit that no longer works for me. Does it work for you?
Thanks

I had the same problem as the original poster--Boom would stay on a super dim setting when trying to use it. Resetting the player preferences from the Basic Settings screen seems to have resolved the issue. Not being one to diddle with these settings, I imagine something got borked in a previous update.
Thanks for the tip.
