Just bought a squeezebox boom and tried to set up a wireless connection through my Apple Airport Extreme router/network. The security encryption is WEP, with a 13 character password, but the boom doesn't recognize that it is WEP and instead asks for a WPA 2 password. I tried converting my WEP password to accommodate the WPA request (13 to 26 character conversion), but it still does not work. Two tech support people were defeated and gave up after trying everything. I'm supposed to get a call from someone with a solution within two days. Before anyone suggests that I switch from WEP to WPA, I must tell you that this network is stuck with the older, weaker, pain-in-the-butt security encryption until the much older second computer in the house gets replaced. Anyone else out there who might have solved this problem already? I'm really anxious to reep the rewards of the time and money I've invested into this product.

Hi,
Just an advice.
Have you tried converting the passwords from decimal to hexadecimal?
All Squeezeboxes accept only hexadecimal numbers.
Regards!

Yes, thanks, I've tried that already (the tech support guy gave me the hex code conversion and I looked it up myself to verify). Still no luck.
