Well, what about it Logitech? I currently own one of your DrivingForce GT wheels for PS3 and I love it! How about one for the XBox 360 platform? The old one you made for the 360 (Logitech DriveFX) is discontinued and unavailable for purchase. We want a new, high quality wheel please and soon! Microsoft's wheel is lousy compared to your offerings for the PS3 and other platforms so PLEASE!!!!! Get on it!
Pretty please with sugar on top????? There is obviously a market for a high quality Logitech wheel for XBox 360.
At the very least, how about a compatablity dongle so you can use the DrivingForce GT or the G25 on the XBox 360?
"If you build it, they will come."

Charles, I don't understand how a hardware manufacturer the size of Logitech can be 'owned' by Microsoft Sony or (whoever?) it is when some diddly tin pot company like Fanatec can offer a competing wheel with the features we want.
Surely Logitech management have some clout with Microsoft and Sony, we're at a loss.

Oh, I was definately simplifying it. But while we own the product, the console company owns the licensing. Also, since we're such a large company, we really have to dot our "i"s and cross our "t"s. Beyond that, I can't get into the guts of it because a lot of it is NDA information.
Also, I would really like to offer anyone who has one of these Fanatec wheels to post the USB VID/PID of the PS3 receiver.

Charles,
Thanks for responding in this thread. Personally, I've had it with Microsoft! From your posts, I gather that they are being a royal pain to try to work things out with. Typical!!! They want to control everything from PC's to gaming console accessories.
I'm fortunate enough to own a PS3 and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my Logitech DrivingForce GT Wheel!!!!!!!!! That wheel ROCKS and the price is right too! I was actually amazed at the price considering that the MS wheel cost more than the DrivingForce GT did. I'll just buy all of my racing games for PS3 and the heck with the XBox 360. At least until you folks can work something out. I WILL NOT settle for the junk that MS sells as a so called driving wheel. It feels like a little kids toy, not a quality gaming wheel like yours.
Anyway, keep up the great work at Logitech. No other manufacturer even comes close to your products (mice, keyboards, game accessories, etc...). I look forward to advancements in your future wheel designs. And if they only come for PS3 and the PC, then so be it.
Good luck & thank you!

Now that Forza 3 has been announced, will anything change or are we all still SOL for the G25 or is a newer product coming that might come out say in October?
I current own a logitech wheel and love it, but I want ONE wheel that will work with all systems. I am not crazy about this porsche unit. I wish Logitech had something to compete.

I feel you on this issue. I play Street Fighter IV at a tournament level and having to swap from PS3 to 360 is a huge pain in the ***. The thing is, I know of no hardware manufacturer that has created a controller that works for both systems. I'm sure it is a nightmare to produce both licensing and hardware wise. I personally have to crack my tournament joystick open and solder in a 360 and PS3 controller board in order to make sure both bases are covered (or have two seperate sticks, which for me just doesn't fly...sticks are like bowling balls for fighting games...you get the feel for one...plus it is a hassle to carry two around ;P).
I also understand just owning too many racing wheels. I have a video game collecting habit, which includes with it racing wheels for systems as far back as...well...as far back as they were making steering wheels for games. They're space hogs!

Guys, Logitech DID make a wheel for the 360 back when Microsoft's wireless wheel was announced.

It's not a Force Feedback wheel, but it looks to be rather similar to the Driving Force series of wheels. Might be worth looking into.

the FX is not a FF wheel.
BTW the basic problem is that MS is asking a lot of money and other things (like custom buttons) to do a wheel for the xbox 360.
Fanatec wheel is a limited edition to raise the price (i commercially understand) and pay royalties to MS, the 911 wheel is a really good product (well built, i did the first betatesting on the 911 Turbo).
i understand Logitech in some ways but marketing wise, i don't understand some choices untill now for the xbox 360.
i hope they will do a wireless multi platform wheel as good as G25 or even better (some problems with left FF motor, H shifter)......... i think autumn can be a good season to announce something new....... just guessing. ![]()
