Re: G25 for Xbox 360???

Been a happy 360 owner, until now. Why on earth would they spend so much money developing a game with all the features that the G25/27 can support out of the box and then only license the peripheral to a mickey mouse company that can only supply 2,000 units per month and a maximum of 10,000 in total?

I just slapped down a pre-order for a ps3 slim and GT, will be playing that with a shiney new G27 next year, my 360 will be on ebay shortly :smileymad:

Re: G25 for Xbox 360???

I posted on Xbox's forums about this earlier, and here's what I said.

"I would like to see an update in the near future for the compatibility with Logitech-brand items such as the Logitech G25 and G27 Racing Wheels.  I don't want to have to buy a seperate $300 wheel for my Xbox 360 because that is just a waste of money.

I don't understand if you let them make accessories for PC made by Microsoft, why not let them make accessories for the Xbox 360.

That is all.

Thanks.  I have been a loyal Microsoft customer since 1993."

I really would like to see you and the Xbox team partner up for an update for the Xbox 360 in order to use Logitech brand items on the Xbox 360.  Every accessory that I own has the Logitech name on it.  From my PC Headset+Microphone to my Surround sound speakers, and even a gaming pad.  This would be a great addition to the Xbox accessories line.

Thanks for taking the time to hear me out.

Re: G25 for Xbox 360???

I'd like to order 25000 G25 (X360 compatible of course).

Thank you.

Gentlemen, you're preaching to the choir here.

Logitech know this - it's either Sony or Microsoft (my bet, Microsoft) holding this back.

There is of course a multi platform wheel available from Fanatec but if you read any of the news on it, it's limited run and apparently was a miracle to achieve, furthermore it's INSANELY expensive :smileysad:

Yes but what is the reason ?

Why Microsoft or Logitech would not comment on this non-compatibility ?

Re: G25 for Xbox 360???

I did, and this is the most I can say on this topic:

I would like to just point out to the thread the following facts as a final, definitive answer:

To make a wheel for a platform requires the cooperation of many companies. That being said, we like selling products, and would always like to sell more products to new markets. Unfortunately, not all of the requirements lined up, and we were unable to pursue this product.

Re: G25 for Xbox 360???

I want to cry.. i really wish that microsoft would just let yall make a wheel that is as good or the same as  the g27. Im prob going to buy a used ps3 and get the g27 with GT and MAG, unless we get some news on a wheel for the xbox.

Re: G25 for Xbox 360???

CharlesB keeps saying the same thing.  Fact is that both M$ and Logitech have a feud going on or something.  Logitech has things for the Xbox 360. ( mic., guitar, etc. )  I don't see what the hold up is.  M$ wants royalties and Logitech doesn't want to pay even though they will still make tons of money because there is a massive market for the G25 and G27 on the Xbox 360.  Both companies just need to get their panties untwisted and quit screwing their customers over like we don't matter!!

CharlesB states "Oh, I was definitely simplifying it. But while we own the product, the console company owns the licensing. Also, since we're such a large company, we really have to dot our "i"s and cross our "t"s. Beyond that, I can't get into the guts of it because a lot of it is NDA information."

Does he really believe that smaller companies don't have to "dot their "I's and cross their "T"s??

This whole thing with the G25 or G27 not being supported by the Xbox 360 mess is the fact that the two companies are acting like a couple of babies fighting over one bottle.  Get over it and make up already!!!!

I will be surprised if this actually gets posted and not deleted or edited by Logitech.  I will post this all over the place if it gets deleted.
