Using the G35 with the Xbox

Please Logitech, make a product that will allow the use of your G35 with the Xbox. OR,... please make a G35 sibling design to work with the Xbox straight out of the box. Call it a G36 or a G45,... who cares. Just adopt the current G35 design into a design similar to the Tritton's new AX 720 design. Yeah,... please do that! Put a 16 ft. cable on the current G35 design, give us a box styled in the theme of the G35 loaded with the Dolby stuff now residing on the G35's driver disc and two USB out on the front of it so that a friend can connect his/her G35 and play along with you. Not sure, but with 16 ft, you may have to give up on the USB. Hope not, leave the USB in place allows you to quickly move from the Xbox to the laptop by pulling the plug from one USB and plugging it into another USB. Doing XBL chat would prolly mean two wires from the left cup OR the inclusion of some type of inline module capable of connecting directly to the Xbox Controller. I like the inline module idea, as it would give you separate game and voice control.

As a G35 owner for a little over a month, I am quite pleased with the headset. It's only problem, it does not offer the versatility of other headsets in it's price range, most notably the recently released Tritton AX 720. A product that allows the buyer to use them with the PC, the Xbox 360, and the Play Station 3. I've listened to the AX 720's, and while they are good, they do not even come close to the sonic quality of the G35. I'd even welcome an added 50 or 60 dollars to a G36 or G45 inspired Logitech product, IF logitech choose to raise the bar a little and explored some wireless ideas. Say like if you guys went out and broke into Turtle Beache's HQ and stole their X41 blueprints and incorporated the spoils of that theft into the G36/G45,... or whatever you choose to call it.

I write this because again, I'm quite pleased with my purchase,... as long as I'm on my laptop. But when it's time to do some Halo,... total frustration. Sure, I could have gotten the Trittons, and for the same price I might add, but I'd ended up with something that sounding like a tin can fed by a cotton string compared to the sonic quality of the G35.

Re: Using the G35 with the Xbox

With the current G35 hardware, the Xbox (or PS3) would have to get a firmware update that would support main audio being played through the USB connection.

We're looking into some things as well, but it's all preliminary.

Its been about 4 mouths now, and I know you guys are hard at work but I was wondering if you guys have given this anymore though?

I am a happy owner of your G35 and was wondering if there was an ETA firmware update idea?

Ah, I should clarify: It would be a firmware update on the console, which we cannot affect.
