Hello Mattjazz,
The 30 pin connector on the iPad 3 is the same as on the iPad, and iPad 2. The stand should work with your iPad 3 with no problems at all.
I hope this helps you out.
SIncerely,

Does this dock provide enough power to charge the new iPad Gen3? ie 2.0 amps at 5 volts?

I just bought this device for my new iPad3 it worked for 10 minutes, then shutdown and refused to power-up.
After a reset and another 10 minute wait it does power-up and speakers work, but refuses to charge ANY device... ipad3, iphone 4s, iphone 3Gs, or ipod touch 4G.
It will charges intermittently, but most of the time says "charging is not supported on this device".
Is this a fault? or Design/power supply capability issue? - is there an upgraded PSU?
The specs don't mention iPad3, but the support guy here said it should work.

Hi I've got exactly the same problem, just purchased the AV stand for xmas to go with an ipad 2. It doesn't work, the ipad shows a message sayng charging not supported with this accessory and it doesn't play any sounds from music or movies.
Tried my iphone as well and the same thing happens, the unit isn't recognised and won't power on, the green led comes on for a second and then powers off.
Anyone got a idea why this is, is the unit faulty, it was brand new, the seal on the box was intact.
Thanks.
