New Anywhere Defective: Left channel muffled, aux-in not working & no one's ready to replace it!

Hi,

I'm in India and I recently purchased a Logitech Anywhere. On playing it at home with my iPod i discovered that the sound from the left channel is very muffled and hardly audible most of the time. The right channel play perfectly fine. I also found out that if i connect any iPod or other audio player to the aux in port then there's no sound at all.

I contacted Logitech support via email and was told to reset the device from the bottom tiny switch. I did this but still the problem was not solved. My subsequent emails to support got no response. When i took the system to the dealer I was told that they don't have a return policy and i should go to Logitech service centre. When i went to the service centre, i was told that this is an outdated product since Anywhere 2 came out and that i was sold a defunct and defective (or Second quality rejected) piece by the dealer and hence only the dealer will have to replace it! I had no idea that i was being sold a defective piece by the dealer as they never said so.

Now I'm stuck with a few days old product that doesn't work and no one is listening to me or replacing, or even fixing it!!

Please someone advise me what to do...
