iPod Docks

I bought my mother a Pure-Fi Express Plus for Christmas.  I put batteries in it and plugged it up.  It lights up with the clock and I can set the alarm and it will work.  But when I put the correct adapter for her Iphone 4G in it and dock her phone...nothing.  no sounds, nothing showing her battery is charging..nothing.  I have reset it according to this site and still nothing.

What should I do?

HELP!!  hehe    Any help would be greatly appreciated
