Pure-Fi Express Plus

The sound does not play when the ipod is connected. We have two docks and this ipod will not work in either of them.

Re: Pure-If Express Plus

We had the same problem with my son's 4th generation ipod touch.  It charged but wouldn't produce sound.  I then removed the protective cover from his ipod and it worked.  (His cover is a hard one.)  I guess being able to push it slightly further onto the contact made a difference.  When I tried my iphone on it, which has a soft, flexible cover, it worked just fine.  It's not convenient (or easy for a kid) to remove a hard cover, but at least it works.  I suppose I'm going to purchase a soft cover for the ipod touch and see what happens.

Re: Pure-If Express Plus

Like osu1991 said, sometimes the protective casings can prevent a full connection with the adaptor, since it's happening on multiple docks you may also want to try resetting the iPod: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1320
