I am having the same exact problem that others have described here. I've got a Pure-fi Anywhere 2 that I've had for 12 to 18 months. It worked fine with my i-pod 4th gen. Upgraded to a 5th gen. and it will not play any audio through the lightning connector with these speakers. It DOES, however, charge the i-pod.
I admit I DO NOT have an apple brand adaptor, it is 3rd party, but not a cheap one. The adaptor I'm using is also the cable variety as I consider the non-cable adaptor inappropriate for use with this speaker system as it makes it so much taller and the mount would be much too flimsy. It would make the i-pod and/or the adaptor very suseptable to damage and would make the controls on the i-pod difficult to operate while mounted. Another plus for the cable adaptor is that it allows the i-pod/i-phone to lie on it's side, much better for watching videos or movies.
I love the Pure-fi Anywhere system. Just wish I had not been misled into believing that it would work with the lightning adaptor.
A work-around I'm considering is plugging in a blue-tooth adaptor into the speakers input, but that would be another $25 or so. Currently I'm using a 2nd cable in the headphone jack for the audio connection. Neither of these solutions allow the remote to be used for anything but on/off and volume though. Sad...

It's been confirmed that the Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 speaker works with the adapters from Apple only.

Let me ask you a couple of questions:
Is the dock working with any of the iPhones?
Which original piece are you using from Apple?
I'll look forward to your reply.

Vanessa/Logitech -- I'm having the same problem with my Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 and my iPhone 5. I just ordered the 30 pin adapter from Apple directly. When plugged into the Pure-Fi dock through the Apple adapter, the iPhone 5 charges but no audio comes through the Logitech speakers. I just tested the speakers with my old iPhone 3GS and it works great -- it charges and audio comes out of the speakers. Please assist. Thanks.

I have this exact same problem. iPhone 5; using Apple's connector (no cable) and audio only plays from the iPhone, not the speakers. The speakers work with other older phone models that have the 30 pin connection.

Hi Vanessa/Logitech Support,
I'm having a problem using my Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 speakers with my new 6th Gen iPod Nano.
These speakers are 4 years old, but are in perfect working condition and have outlived 2 other iPods. The speakers will charge when plugged in and will turn on without the iPod docked.
The iPod will also charge when docked.
The problem is when the speakers are unplugged, they turn off once the iPod is docked and will not play audio. The iPod itself however is playing. Occassionally I will get a message on the iPod that tells me it is an "unsupported accessory"
This is very strange, because I previously had a 6th Gen iPod Nano that worked perfectly with these same speakers.
I absolutely love these speakers as they have traveled all over the world with me providing music. Every chance I get I tell people how great they are because they've always worked so well for me, so reliably. That's why it's been so frustrating for me to have this recent problem.
Any help you could provide is greatly appreciated!

I'm experience the same problem. My iphone starts loading but the music doesn't come out of my speakers. You say that it only works with the apple adapters but why do some people have trouble with those too?
