iPod Docks

I haven't purchased one yet but am looking to do so soon; however, there is something I would like to ask. I don't have an iphone/touch but a shuffle 3rd gen and a sansa clip, so to use them with the dock I would have to use the aux input. Is it possible to use the remote (next song, previous, pause, etc) with the devices attached via aux or is that only for the devices connected to the tray connector?

I don't think the remote would would with a device connected via aux.

At any rate, my friendly advice is: do not buy this product, or anything else from Logitech.  The speakers are ok, but my experience is that if anything goes wrong or you need post-sale assistance, Logitech is not at all interested in you once they have your money.
