About installing new PAD files in the io2 software

Hi,
I have Cambridge notebook that came with the software. Now, i want the io2 software to read that data from
new custom-made Anoto paper.
Please can somebody tell me how to install the new PAD file in the computer (Windows XP)?

Thanks,
Neha

Re: About installing new PAD files in the io2 software

I have a similar problem to Neha.
I'd be interested in other users experience of having to install PAD files.

I have just started using Easybook M3 stationery and every time I upload data from the io2 pen to the computer I get an error message saying:

"Paper definition missing - Your pen contains pages written on an unknown paper, The data will safely remain in the pen until you get the paper definition files (PAD files) onto your computer. You will then be able to download the data from your pen to your computer. For obtaining the PAD files, please contact the paper's manufaturer."

I've looked around and the PAD files are all on the CD that came with the pen (not the stationery!) but I can't find any method of installing it. The pen documentation and user guides seem to skip this bit, and the stationery suppliers website has no mention of PAD files.
The Easybook M3 stationery is available to buy on the logitech website so I'm sure its supported, I'm just missing that little nugget of information that will make it all make sense!

Anyone had a similar problem? Even better anyone solved it! :smileyhappy:

Cheers

Re: About installing new PAD files in the io2 software

If you have PAD file with you copy that on below path in your system:

i.e., "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Anoto\PADs"

Also please refer this screen shot

When I installed Logitech IO2 software, it was installed in my system. If you don't have PAD file for Easy Book M3 with you let me know your email and I can send you that.

Re: About installing new PAD files in the io2 software

Hi Brijesh,

We have a client who is trying to use the Oxford Easybook M3 with his io2 digital pen, but we don't have the PAD file to give him.
I have searched everywhere, but after contacting Logitech support, they recommended asking you for them.

Can you please supply them?

bryan.dickson@intelliscan.co.uk

Thanks,
Bryan.

Re: About installing new PAD files in the io2 software

Hi Brijesh,

Many thanks for sending me those files, but I have discovered that they are the same as some PAD files I already have!

I copied them to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Anoto\PADs
but still no luck - I keep getting a "Nothing to Download" message when docking my pen. My client gets an error about not having a correct "paper definition file".

Do I need to register these PAD files for the Logitech software to use them?

Thanks.

As per my understanding you don't need to register application as it go registered at time of IO2 Software installation. May be the printed paper you are using is wrong? Cross verify in another system with latest IO2 (410) software and check.

Best of Luck!

Re: About installing new PAD files in the io2 software

I have exactly the same issue. Having waited 7 weeks for non delivery of Logitech paper I ordered the Oxford Easybook M3 pads. My software says it doesn't recognise the paper definition as above.

I have the correct files installed so I suspect there is another issue and there is no information on the Oxford Easybook web site.

Please help
