Just joined glad to be here....great technology...friendly people.

Anyway to the point…Need advise

I have an application that allows me to redline an image on my screen using my mouse.

What I would like to do is print the image , and using the IO2 pen, mark-up the print and have the screen image have the same markups

So in my layman’s knowledge I would like to synchronize my printed copy to the image on the screen.

I am just a guy with limited funds working on this in my basement, so joining Anoto development  is not an option at this time.

I have read about some .pen, pad, pdf and ps files. I know what a ps and pdf are …I think they are files of the Anoto dots.And a .pen file is the output from the IO2 pen.

Questions

1. Can someone send me a ps or pdf file of a 8.5x11 and a 24”x36” ? malfernandes at shaw dot ca
2. news to me that there is a IO2 commercial pen. Does that mean if I bought the IO2 pen I would not be able to use the SDK. So not sure what pen to buy.
3. If I took the ps or pdf file and merged it with my image and printed it, would this than allow me to draw on the print and there fore synchronize the paper image to the screen image ?

It seems that Brijesh seem to be the all knowing, so hopefully I get an answer from him as well

Hi,

What ever steps you mentioned above will not work without doing custom development. As end user you will not able to trick PAD file,background file and Print ready PS file.

In custom development we always link particular pattern ID to background file(image)and then using PAD files , pen strokes (.pen) files is written over the particular image(back ground) file.

IO2 commercial pen is for to work with custom applications developed by service provider of ANOTO.

what does the standard io2 pen work with?

if I were to purchase the Anoto paper from say someone like livinngpaper then print my image on the paper, will that work i.e. allow me to markup my image on the print and then transfer the pen markup to my computer.

so should I purchase the io2 or the io2 commercial. All I have seen is that the io2 commercial is sold in a pack of 5.

IO2 Regular pens works with Notebooks that comes with Pen.

IO2 Commercial pen works with papers/forms that service provider use for custom application development.

You need to let Living Paper knows your requirement and they will build application which satisfies your needs.
