i also would like to know how it is possible to produce forms from existing forms in our firm to the the other of your program. Is it then possible to alter it after it transfered into a document in the pc ?Do i print out the forms on my own printer ?
Please do call me if its difficult to understand my questions.”
Hi *******
To answer your questions. Firstly, you will be able to transfer the penstrokes as you describe using PenMAIL from both those pens. The SU-1B must be flashed to firmware Version 17A (you can get the upgrade from Nokia’s website).
PenMAIL will work with any Anoto digital paper that uses the PGC digital pattern – so Black and Red books, Esselte books and business forms can all be sent via your phone without the need for back end servers and so on.
If you wish to process business forms, it can be done from the handset but there is some configuration to do to make the handset overlay the penstrokes onto the correct background image. If your form requirements are simple, then PenMAIL can also be used for this.
There is a trade off in that to transmit raw penstrokes to a backend server processing is very cheap because it is small (say 6-8k). To send a full image is more expensive because the image is more like 80k plus in size. So you have to make a choice.
I guess in order for me to tell you a little more, then it would be useful if you could describe what you are hoping to achieve using the digital pen and paper. If you could email me directly with some more details, then I can help you further I think.
