Hi,

We have encountered an odd hardware problem with some of our pens.

The pen seems to stop taking a charge. The pen itself works fine, writing and downloading, until the battery goes flat. However when it is docked in its cradle, the red charging light goes on, but the battery does not take any charge. This same behaviour is exhibited even when it is plugged into the AC charger. So the pen battery gets flatter and flatter, until the battery is completely flat. At this point even leaving it in the AC adapter for hours has no effect.

This has happened now to two of our pens.

Has anybody encountered this kind of behaviour before, or have any idea why the pen should just stop charging?

After two days of trying to get the software installed on my Vista computer I was successfull. I finally got everything working and even uploaded some test text one time. After that I tried to write some other stuff and the pen just kept vibeing on and off so I stuck it in the cradle and it just kept vibing on and off until finally nothing. Is my battery dead or what? I had it in the cradle for a couple hours the first day while fiddling with the installation but it wasn't in there for a whole day or anything - I mean the pen is brand new I just took it out of the packed Christmas - what do I do?
