My ex stopped at a yardsale and bought me Digital IO 2 pen and cradle because he knew I wanted one for a project I'm going to be working on. Well - I downloaded the software and everything went swimmingly except that I get an error message that the pen - with a series of numbers and letters is not supported. ?????? It didn't come with the notebooks - or he didn't pick them up with it, although he did get a few extra ink carts. (?). Did he get a defective pen? Is it a set up issue? I don't know whether or not to buy any notebooks for this or just tell him thanks for the dustcatcher. Any suggestions. Thanks so much in advance

Hi,
I guess that your io2 pen is a bluetooth pen with an old embedded software inside.
So you have to update your pen by getting on logitech web site a kit that contains a software to do tha.
Please go to http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/business/product s/mice_pointers/devices/795&cl=us,en and select How To, then download the business kit.
In this kit, you will find a folder named "Firmware Updater Software 4.2.901.1", install this software and follow the instruction.
After the firmware update, your pen should be compatible with the Logitech io2 SW 4.1.
Thanks / l'Indien

Thank you so much for your assistance! It works! 3+ hours (3 separate calls - the last one 15 minutes) on the phone to tech support only to be told at the end that my pen and the cradle don't match and that's why you shouldn't buy used product. Now I'm planning on having some fun with this! Thank you thank you thank you
