I am having the exact same symptom, and have opened a support incident with the support guys. Have not had a response in 2 days so far. I suspect that perhaps they are working on this slight issue?

Got the same issue while upgradding from 3.3 to 4.1. I am using the pen as business professional. Therefore I am in real trouble. The new SW version is not working, the old one got deinstalled. I was not even able to reinstall the old version. The installation program crashes always while trying to start the services. I have read quite a few unaswered questions on this matter in the forum. Would anyone please be so kind and respond. Does not really put a good light on your support. By the way, we are, as a software company, deplyoing the first DigiPen solution at the moment. Works good, but I will not roll out without having appropriate answers on this problem.

Can you please provide OS information and Error Message you get while installation of IO2 Software?

After trying the same recommended installation procedure about 5 times, talking to 5 people and scanning the forum, I managed to install yesterday in the afternoon (without any chances in the procedure). Therefore no need for further actions. I have no idea why it worked finally, therefore I do not have any advice for users with the same problem. It seems kind of strange to me that so many people seem to have the same problem, but there's no real fix for that.
