which translates as: - download latest io2 installer from logitech (io2pen410enu.exe) - download .NET 1.1 - download .NET 1.1 service pack 1 ...both downloadable from microsoft. - install .NET 1.1 and the service pack - reboot - copy logitech io2 installer to a temp folder on your c: drive - open a dos command window from the start menu (type 'cmd' in the part of the start menu that is an edit field, then press enter) - using DOS commands, navigate to the temporary folder where you saved the logitech installer (eg: cd.., cd.., cd temp_io2) - type the name of the executable and press enter to launch it ("io2pen410enu" then press enter) On my machine this worked perfectly, the installer launched and completed, and the software now works under Vista Business 32bits. Hope it works, it's sweet when it does.

So, I have some time now for tell to you what I have done for the IO pen work proprely...
I would want to precise that this methode has functionned for me, and it's not a science, it's a tips that permit to resolve the probleme for me... I hope it will work for all of you too, but I must not guarante that.
So, let's go. Make sure to respect the order of all the steps (I have try many of the possibilities and it's only this order that work.
The steps that I follow are :
1/
Download the last version of Io2 install software (Drivers for Win XP) (They are extremely rarelly updated, so yours may be ok)
DO NOT INSTALL IT FOR THE MOMENT (and uninstall it if already installed)
2/
Open the windows start pannel, and entry "cmd" in entry program search zone.
-- cmd.exe program appaired in the search list (on the top of start pannel).
---> right-clic on it and choose "open with administator" (maybe an other name in english... like the others m$ windows words... sorry)
-- A dos window open itself, after your confirmation
---> Enter "msconfig"
---> Go to "tools" , and double clic on "Disable UAC".
---> Confirm if necessary, close, and RESTART your system.
3/
Download the microsoft "Framework .Net 1.1.", and install it.
RESTART your computer (it's important !)
4/
Then, Download the microsoft "Framework .Net 1.1 SP1.", and install it.
RESTART your computer (it's important !)
5/
Open the windows start pannel, and entry "cmd" in entry program search zone.
-- cmd.exe program appaired in the search list (on the top of start pannel).
---> right-clic on it and choose "open with administator" (maybe an other name in english... like the others m$ windows words... sorry)
-- A dos window open itself, after your confirmation
---> Enter "cd " (where is the location of your io2 install program)
---> shoot ENTER.
6/
Install the soft by the commande by enter it's name.exe
7/
Then go to the tools in msconfig like the previous time, and replace UAC by double clic on "Enable UAC " (and not "disable UAC" ;-) )
8/
Restart your computer and enjoy ;-)
9/
Commentaries :
9.1/
When your system (windows) start, it may prevent to you by openning a little buble that "windows has blocked some programs when starting".
If it's the case (and it will probably the case), so, you must to right-clic on the little icon and autorize the running of your IO pen program.
9.2/
It's possible that, for running the io soft, you must to right-clic on the application (in program files folder) and choose run in administrator. (If you constate that your pen is not reconnized when you connect it).
9.3/
I am under linux now, so, I may forget one a two details... So, if you have some problems, post it and if I reconize it, I will can to explain it
My hope is your hope ;-)
Bye !
